Hi, my name is Shanaz and I am raising funds in honour of my mother Sughra Khan , a beautiful and kind soul who has returned to Allah swt, and Insha Allah I intend to build a masjid in her name with the money raised.

My mother was a strong-willed woman who always strived to help those in her community and better her relationship with Allah whether that be in times of prosperity or struggle. With my father unfortunately passing away when i was a teenager, my mother was left to raise 6 children by herself.

However, she never complained or found ways out of her duties. Rather she faced them head on, having faith in Allah and his plan. I had seen this level of resilience and Imaan within my mother throughout my whole life and as me and my siblings got older, her faith and relationship with Allah never faltered but rather increased and continued to deepen as her life went on.

Even in her final moments when she was suffering, my mother kept her imaan at the helm of her heart and ensured she left this world in praise to Allah.

This mosque will be built in a deprived area of Pakistan, where many people currently have to travel long distances just to pray. It will provide a much-needed space for worship, especially for those who have no other nearby options. This project is not only a tribute to my late parents legacy but also a form of Sadaqah Jariyah—a reward that continues to benefit our parents in the hereafter, and all those who support it.
