My mother in Honduras (Colon Cancer)

Hi, this is Cristhian Ramos, son of my beloved mother Lesly Arriaga. It is not easy for me to ask for help, but this is an emergency that I cannot handle alone. 9 years ago, I came to the USA to work and help my family. Last month, I got the news that my mother was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer (colon cancer). Her situation is fragile and the cancer has started to spread to her liver. Yesterday she underwent emergency surgery ($9,000.00) but they discovered a tumor too deep that is attached to her intestines. In a month, she will begin chemo to attempt to reach the cancer that is there. All of this she is facing, while also having a heart condition.

The situation in Honduras is very different from the U.S. Her surgery needs to be paid in full and the chemo will also need to be paid in full, up front. I am currently the only financial support in my family. My sister has become unemployed because she must care for my mother full time. That is why I must ask for your help. I am currently working 4 jobs and I am looking for a 5th in order to do as much as I can from far away and contribute money to her situation. It's all I can do to help and I cannot be with my mother.

My goal is to raise $13,000.00 to cover the $9,000.00 surgery (already due) and also have the additional $4,000.00 to cover the chemo treatment. I will be posting updates for my donators to be transparent and show how the money is directly helping her. All I want is a good quality of life for her during this time that I cannot be there in person for her.

Hola, soy Cristhian Ramos, hijo de mi amada madre Lesly Arriaga. No es fácil para mí pedir ayuda, pero esta es una emergencia que no puedo manejar sola. Hace 9 años vine a los Estados Unidos para trabajar y ayudar a mi familia. El mes pasado, recibí la noticia de que mi madre fue diagnosticada con cáncer colorrectal (cáncer de colon). Su situación es frágil y el cáncer ha comenzado a extenderse a su hígado. Ayer la operaron de emergencia ($9,000.00) pero le descubrieron un tumor demasiado profundo que está adherido a sus intestinos. En un mes, comenzará la quimioterapia para tratar de llegar al cáncer que está allí. Todo esto lo está enfrentando, además de tener una afección cardíaca.

La situación en Honduras es muy diferente a la de los EE. UU. Su cirugía debe pagarse en su totalidad y la quimioterapia también deberá pagarse en su totalidad, por adelantado. Actualmente soy el único sostén económico de mi familia. Mi hermana se ha quedado sin trabajo porque debe cuidar a mi madre a tiempo completo. Es por eso que debo pedir su ayuda. Actualmente estoy trabajando en 4 trabajos y busco un 5to para poder hacer todo lo que pueda desde lejos y aportar dinero a su situación. Es todo lo que puedo hacer para ayudar y no puedo estar con mi madre.

Mi meta es recaudar $13,000.00 para cubrir la cirugía de $9,000.00 (ya vencida) y también tener los $4,000.00 adicionales para cubrir el tratamiento de quimioterapia. Publicaré actualizaciones para que mis donantes sean transparentes y muestren cómo el dinero la está ayudando directamente. Todo lo que quiero es una buena calidad de vida para ella durante este tiempo en el que no puedo estar allí en persona para ella.
