Anong was loved and respected by many friends and family in the US and her homeland in Thailand. My Mother passed away unexpectedly on October 31st in her homeland of Thailand. Her devoted niece Jang had the difficult task of watching over her in the hospital and keeping her children informed of her progress. What should have been a routine hospital stay, turned into unexpected complications that my Mom was not strong enough to overcome. She passed from Pneumonia. The family has held on starting the funeral for her children to attend. The funeral will last four days in the Thai traditions. It will be held from November 9th - 12th 2024. The hospital and funeral costs run in the $10000.00 range. Tickets to Thailand are $3000 each. Our Mother's fondest wish was for her children to visit and spend time with family. We were planning a visit in March 2024. My biggest regret is that she is not there to witness her family coming together. The children's employers have been kind and have given us extended time off to attend our Mom's funeral and settle her estate. This has been quite unexpected and we have been blessed with friends and family expressing sympathy and concern.
