Hi-
I won't lie, but this is awkward. I'm a proud woman from a long line of proud women and I have wrestled with this next sentence for weeks.  I need help.

I am an only child.  My mother is 81 years old and while outwardly together, has had several health challenges including severe spinal stenosis, asthma, cancer of the bladder and recently disgnosed with beginning stages of dementia.  These issues have resulted in her use of a walker and the need to move her out of her home and into an assisted living facility.  Her now former home also needs to be rehabbed so I can begin to think about the next steps.

I work hard.  I have a full time and part time job.  I pay my bills and taxes, but I am not in the financial position as a single woman to take care of all that NEEDS to be done.

I am seeking donations to afford rental of a large dumpster, storage unit, industrial strength cleaning crew, contractor and additional items that my mom will need in assisted living i.e. a bed, mattress/box spring, furniture, etc.

It pains me to be in this position and that I have to ask for help but this is my new reality.  Any amount is greatly appreciated.
