Hi, my name is Raven and I’m fundraising for my mom Kimmy. For the last 15 years it’s always just been my mom and I after her husband and my dad passed away. She’s been a single mother and has done an incredible job raising me and supporting us by herself over the years. About 30 years ago my mom got in a terrible car accident which resulted in a serious ankle injury that has only gotten worse over the years. Within the past year her ankle has resulted in such pain and agony, they informed her if she doesn’t get surgery ASAP it will result in long term issues that will jeopardize her physical health. The pain in her ankle has caused pain now into her hips. She needs a hip replacement, then an ankle replacement, which then leads into physical therapy. My mom is recovery now from her hip replacement and has been out of work at Blair Academy and will be for the next couple of months and as you can imagine, without working the bills keep piling up. Even with her insurance the medical expenses are insane. My mom is the most caring, selfless and hardworking person I know and I hate to see her struggle or worry, or be in pain. She would never want to take money from anyone but I want and need to help anyway I can! I would’ve never thought I would ever have to make one of these but I would love to help my mom in any way I can possible. Anything counts. Thank you :)
