My Mom's Critical Surgery
Donation protected
Introduction: Hello, I'm Joe, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my mom, JoAnn Audo. Her story is one of unwavering resilience, battling a complex medical history. In her journey, we’re facing an urgent surgery need. Your support can help Jo regain health with a feeding tube so she can build strength.
A Courageous Battle: JoAnn's life took an unexpected turn when she was discovered unconscious in her home in 2022. During the global pandemic, nurses like my mom were on the frontlines, selflessly caring for those in need. Having endured multiple surgeries, her path has been difficult. After a life-changing removal of her esophagus, her body adapted to a new reality. Working night shifts in a high-stress pandemic further strained her health, and signs of smaller seizures went unnoticed in 2020 and 2021.
The Present Struggle: Fast forward to 2023, and Jo is under the care of my 82-year-old grandmother who only has social security income. Transitioning to social security disability insurance (SSDI) at the age of 59 and governmental delays have left Jo financially vulnerable. Surgery is needed to insert a GI feeding tube, crucial for her recovery. Despite the support of family, the outstanding surgery cost and the gap until SSDI kicks in are what make the need for financial support urgent.
Join JoAnn’s Journey: The goal is to raise $10,000 to help JoAnn with surgery costs and related expenses. Any contribution will help give her a chance to recover.
Thank you for taking the time to read my mom’s story and consider a contribution to her cause. Your support goes beyond financial assistance – it's a beacon of hope.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me on Facebook Messenger. I’m grateful for a chance to gather community support for someone who served others on the front lines.
