In the early morning of March 9th, my mom went to lie down next to my dad and noticed his snoring was different. That snoring turned into grunting, and when my mom shook him to wake him, he was unresponsive. She immediately started CPR and continued until paramedics arrived. My dad was rushed to the hospital, where compressions continued. Shortly after an MRI was performed and after getting the results from his MRI, we found out my loving, funny, witty, supportive, and kind dad was never going to be able to talk or walk again due to the brain damage that occurred.
I don't know what life is without my dad, but I know I have a hole in my heart that can never be filled. My family feels so much emptiness and pain right now. We are devastated and would like to give my dad the memorial he deserves to say our final goodbyes. Any donations will go towards hospital and funeral expenses, and the rest will go towards the bereavement process.
My dad was a perfect, precious husband, father, brother, grandfather, and best friend. He was also a kind and loving friend to many. He touched SO many lives with his radiant energy.
There aren’t enough words in the world to describe how perfect he was. He was silly and made everyone laugh. He was an adventurer. He loved getting out of the house, even if it was just taking a car ride while dancing to music. He was always eager to see what the world had to offer. He loved meeting new people, making new friends, and creating lasting memories. He was always looking for ways to create fun experiences with those he loved most. His beautiful spirit and love for the world and it’s people will never be forgotten.
We can’t wait to see you again John. We love you forever and always. Any prayers would be appreciated. Please tell John you love him so he feels our warmth and endless love.
