This is hard to write and even harder to understand.

I received the most terrifying text message of my life.

My mom went off a bridge and was in ICU for days and no one knew.
Her dog, Tanner, was trapped in the house for days without access to food and water.  And I needed to get to Dallas within the next few hours because she was going into an emergency spinal cord surgery. All during a global health pandemic. 

Two weeks prior she was independent, vibrant, mobile, and helping others improve their lives but now she is confined to a medical bed in isolation without the use of her limbs. She cannot feed herself, clothe herself, or bath herself. She currently suffers from extreme nerve damage.

She had an emergency spinal cord fusion of the C4 and C5.
She has EXTREME nerve damage that causes her to moan and cry out in pain at the touch of a bedsheet.  She cannot move her arms, hands, legs. 

The funds raised go directly to her medical bills, care, and to cover the 24- hour care that is not covered by insurance. 

Her surgeon estimates she will need intensive therapy to regain the use of her hands so that she can feed herself again. 

She is currently at Baylor in Dallas, Texas
