Please help our mom be with her husband

Hi all. My name is Devin. The past few years, my step-father has been battling illness after illness, starting with colon cancer. This has led to many trips from Rochester, NH to Boston. Insurance did cover travel expenses when he was diagnosed with myelodysplasia as a result of his chemo treatments. This led to more issues and eventually a bone marrow transplant, which during this time the travel expense insurance was all used up. Fast forward to now, after a stint of COVID, RSV, and pneumonia, he has been diagnosed with an incurable form of leukemia. My mother was told that he must stay down for at least the first month or so of treatment until he can come back home. While insurance is still covering medical expenses, my mother now has no insurance for the travel expenses and barely any PTO and sick time to use at work.

All of this to simply ask for the help of covering traveling and hotel costs. Hotels in Boston are not cheap. While we as a family have been trying to pool what money we can, it still isn't enough. Given that he only has so long now, my mother is hoping to spend as much time as possible, so any little bit helps. If you're not in a situation to help donate, even sharing this helps a lot.
