Background
My name is Ty Sweeting. I am from the Bahamas, although I live in Inverness, Florida now; my mom, Leona Sweeting, still lives there, on the island of Grand Bahama. My mom is a 78 year old widow, and I am her only child.  She lives on a limited fixed income.

What Happened
When Hurricane Dorian recently devastated the island, my mother lost everything. Her home and its contents are destroyed.

When the storm hit, a portion of the roof was blown off, and as the storm surge rose above the roof, seawater, seaweed and debris poured in, filling the home and destroying everything in its way, eventually blowing out the front door.

How you can help
I am raising funds to help my mom recover from this catastrophe by assist her in establishing a new place to live and replace lost clothing and other personal items.  I have set a goal of $10,000 to help her do this.

Mom has always been there for me, and now I'd like to be here for her in her time of desperate need.
