MY BOSS DROVE INTO A RIVER

One sunny morning, Matt, the ever-enthusiastic boss, decided to spice up his commute. Spotting a nearby river without a bridge, he thought, “Why not add a little adventure?” With a misguided grin, he hopped into his beloved hybrid car, “Eco-Explorer,” and drove straight into the water.
“Just like a boat!” he declared, splashing around as his car began to sink, its once-proud form now bobbing helplessly. His colleagues at the office received frantic texts: “Matt’s crossed the river in his car!” they read, accompanied by blurry photos of the Eco-Explorer partially submerged. They exchanged concerned glances, a mix of disbelief and dread settling in.
As the current swept him downstream, Matt shouted futile encouragement to his car, which had become more of a sinking log than a vehicle. After what felt like an eternity, the Eco-Explorer finally found solid ground on the opposite bank. Soaked and disheartened, Matt emerged, realizing he was late for work—and his car was a total wreck, filled with river stones and a few bewildered frogs.
As he wiped off the water and prepared to tell his wild tale, a heavy realization washed over him: this was not just a funny story, but a painful reminder of the adventure that had turned disastrous. Who could appreciate a tale of misfortune when the cost was a beloved car?
