My marathon for Mabel

I have been lucky enough to win a ballot place to run the London marathon (21st April). I have been training hard, and i'm hopeful I will complete the 26.2 miles, running all the way but I won't be breaking any records !

I know times are hard for everyone, and like me, people have many charities close to their heart. Over the years i've asked for sponsorship several times. For these reasons I wasn't intending to ask for sponsorship.

However, unfortunately, on Mother's Day, my god-daughter's daughter Mabel was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). My daughter had ALL several years ago, so as a family, we have an idea of the journey that lays ahead for them. I have now decided that I am running for Mabel.

It is my hope that any sponsorship I receive will help to ease Lauren & Jake's financial pressures (paying for travel, parking, etc) and help towards any expenses incurred when you have a sick child.

If you aren't able to donate, then a good luck message to cheer me on and let Mabel's family know you are thinking about them would be appreciated and gratefully received.
