My name is Kendra Peoples Sisson. I’m doing this fundraiser to help my Mama Dana and my Diddy Kenny Peoples. If you know my diddy you know he has no idea I’m doing this. He’s down in a real bad way right now. Through our faith we know God is bringing us through this. Around the beginning of December he got sick, sick to the point of not being able to move much or eat at all. He started missing work which he NEVER does. He had started fighting trying to get better but was only getting worse by the day. Finally my mama was as able to get him to the emergency room around Dec. 31st to find out that he had a bad infection throughout his whole body. They started working to fight this off but things went really bad first. January 5th my diddy was admitted into the MICU and I got the dreaded phone call he was on a ventilator. He had, had a really bad night and this was the result of it. It’s crazy Thursday he was sitting up trying to talk and Thursday night he was lifeless. Day by day we have seen progress (Kenny Peoples isn’t gonna let nothing keep him down for long) they have gotten him off the ventilator and now we are working to get his strength back. So his body can fight like God made it to do. We know God has got him, we also know we still have a long road ahead of us. Of course he fighting and improving everyday. See my diddy is self employed. Is the reason for this. He’s a barber, my sister and I grew up in a barbershop just like our diddy did. He’s also the breadwinner of the house. So when he got sick there went all of their income. It’s so awesome to see the community he and my mama have built around the shop. My mama has been working her hardest to keep things afloat through all of this, the shop, the house, all of my Diddy’s dreams (his bulls) while still being at the hospital day in and day out taking care of him. As you know just because we are sick life around us keeps rollin. I’m asking for help to help my mama and my diddy in this hard time. This is not even beginning to include the medical bills that will come after this. He still has a very long road ahead before he is back standing behind that chair or out in the pasture with his bulls doing what he loves. I know this is long and if you’ve made it this far thank you please help us help my diddy and mama so when he comes home he still has everything they have work so hard for all of these years.
