Our main goal in this GoFundMe is to bring Malorie back to full recovery after surviving a major stroke and the removal of her gallbladder 2 months following the stroke. We are requesting funding to assist in her mobility during her recovery. Our first items would be an electric mobile wheelchair and a van to transport her back and forth from the hospital once she has fully recovered.
Malorie is the oldest of 3 and was a healthcare worker while also attending college. She did this while taking care of and providing for her two younger brothers; cooking and cleaning the household.
As an essential worker, Malorie worked both of her jobs to make ends meet and her determination to help others was her lifelong goal.
The past few months, she has been going in and out of subacute hospitals and the frequent movement without proper healing has created a deep wound in her tail bone. This wound is a stage 4 wound that could have been avoided with proper care. Due to the medi-cal care here in California, her conditions only worsen. These are the complications she’s currently suffering:
1. Small hernia inside her abdomen
2. Urinary Tract Infection
3. Paralyzed on her whole left side due to the stroke
4. Tracheostomy Mask to deliver oxygen
5. Feeding Tube
7. colonoscopy bag
Any donations you could provide to help give my daughter a second chance in life would be the ultimate blessing for my family.
thank you so much.
