Barry's final flight home
My name is Nicola and I am writing this with a sad and heavy heart. I'm raising funds for my kind, caring and loving dad Barry Jones who sadly passed away in Thailand on the 17th May. We all want him to come home to us.
In April of this year my dad was admitted to hospital in phitsanulok with a broken leg and a broken hip. He was in there for about 3weeks then went back to his apartment to heal.
About 2 weeks later he was admitted to hospital again extremely ill with sepsis. He underwent surgery to remove some infected skin on his leg and we we're told that he might not make it through the surgery because he was so ill.
I felt sick to my stomach
Dad made it through but was very weak and was taken back to the ward. He looked so unwell. Two days later he wasn't getting any better and wasn't eating or responding to the medication.
I face timed his partner and she put the phone to his ear I gently called out to him and he just slightly moved his head towards the phone and i told him how much I loved him and that i needed him to get better.
Then the next morning I got the gut wreching text to say he had passed away.
I have lost the best dad I could have ever asked for. He had got me through one of the most hardest times of my life, he would drop everything if I was in need.
Now he is the one in need and I must bring him home.
As a family we have used all our savings on the ever growing hospital bills and i cant believe they are still getting higher and now we face the heart break of losing him as well as stress of trying to get him home where he belongs with us.
we are completely devastated. I know im not alone but i feel so lost.
Barry was a aviator engineer who loved his job. I was extremely proud of him putting himself through college to learn his dream job. It took him all over the world
He will always be my world.
We have a quote for a full body repatriation at £4,575
ongoing fees for being in a thai mortuary and then there is the funeral.
So any donation no matter how big or small or even sharing the page, it would be greatly appreciated to help Barry catch his last flight home.
Thankyou with all our hearts.
