My Little Brother Alan

My younger brother Alan was recently diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer which has sadly metastasized to his liver and bones.  Alan and I, along with our two younger brothers were raised by our wonderful parents on a dairy farm in Northeastern PA.  Since Alan and I were the oldest, we had the most responsibility on the farm until our younger brothers were old enough to work their fingers to the bone right along side us.  Alan was incredibly dedicated to caring for the hundreds of cows and his beloved dog Daisy right up until the farm was no longer sustainable.  

Alan is an avid bowler and has thrown over 80, 300 games in his career.  He recently married his longtime love, Sachiko in a beautiful hometown ceremony in Conyngham, PA.  Together they are trying to navigate this difficult time and to learn how to fight this terrifying and terrible disease.  He began the fight for his life (chemo) on August 1, 2018.  

Alan was not a smoker and only had the occasional drink - this disease quite literally snuck up on him.  All the funds raised will go directly to covering the cost of hospital bills and all other aspects of his cancer treatment.  Our family is not a stranger to cancer; we lost our mother to leukemia in 1992.  We aren’t ready to lose another loved one at such a young age.  We thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity.  He just began his battle, but he has a long and difficult journey ahead of him.  Any assistance you can provide is beyond greatly appreciated.
