My Lil Prince Harley - Our Walk for Young Suicide Prevention

We are raising awareness for suicide prevention and will be taking part in two sponsored walks across August in memory of Harley, with all contributions going towards Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide.

If you, or anyone you know is struggling, please contact Papyrus for further information as they have lots of resources including a ‘Hopeline ’ for those in need as well as suicide prevention training for those that would like to learn more and how this could help save a life.

Below is a little more information about Harley from his mum, Emma and why we are completing this walk in his memory:

“My son Harley was only 19 years old and sadly could not cope with life anymore and committed suicide by putting himself on the A3 in the early hours of 4th July 2023.

He was such a kind-hearted, beautiful, loving boy who fought and struggled with life from the day he was born, entering the world 9 weeks premature, and having 15 operations before he was 10 years old at Great Ormond Street- another organisation very close to my heart.

I wish every day that Harley did not end his life, let alone choose to go the way he did. I really want to do this walk for my kind, talented little Prince Harley to help raise awareness for young people who struggle just like my boy did in life.

He was a beautiful and loving son, grandson, brother, cousin and nephew and will be in our hearts forever.”

We kindly ask for you to share this page with as many people as possible and all donations, big or small will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to us.

Information on the walks for people who would like to join us:

These walks will start at 11am from Hampton Court Bridge to Richmond Bridge and are taking place on Saturday 17th August & Saturday 31st August to ensure as many people can be involved as possible. With a distance of 4.5 miles that we hope will be suitable for everyone, these will take roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete with a stop for food.

  • Please wear either purple/lilac or for those who have them, your Harley t-shirts.
  • If possible, please bring a purple/lilac balloon as we will let them off at the end of the walk.
  • No alcohol please as this is for Harley’s memory.
