"My Life" has passed away

Hi My name is Andrew Bartlett husband to the most amazing person in the world, Renee Bartlett.

I met Renee in 2003 and immediately fell in love with her, she proposed to me and we got married. We both found our true love, friendship and became "My Life". Renee was so caring, giving and putting others in front of her, and had to remind her that we need to care for our family too. She would give our last dollar to someone on the streets who needed a water or food so they could live another day. She never asked for anything in return.

We lived an amazing life together and I would give my heart to have her live another day or 40 years longer.

Renee could walk into a room that was dark, dreary and plain and turn that room into one with true love and warmth.

In 2018, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy with seizures and short term memory loss. I felt like yesterday hasn't happened yet, today was last week or month, tomorrow is another day with "My Life Renee"

Being in the Marines years ago, we never quit and that's what she did is never quit. She would spend her days and nights ensuring that if I did have a seizure she was right there to catch me and lay me down. I always asked her why and she would say you are "My Life" and just remember each day "I Love You".

On July 8, 2021, I found my wife and she was unresponsive , lips were blue and not breathing. I immediately started CPR. She was taken to the emergency room by ambulance and fought each day to stay alive.

On July 11, 2021 at 11:11am "My Life" left me and 1 day before her birthdate of July 12. In shock and still in shock today, I told our children 18, 16 and 11(with autism) that we are still the team , but we are just one player short now.

Grieving and mourning the loss of our wife, mother,  sister and friend. July 14th, my daughter aged 16 witnessed another day of disbelief, when I had a long seizure which brought me to floor and beat up my left side including my head. My daughter and sister in laws were at the house helping us with things since we had just lost her. I was placed in the emergency room with an excubator to help breathe while I was unconscious for 3 days. My sister in law, Yvette, would come to visit me twice each day to see if I had woken up yet or my status changed.  Yvette did the same like Renee taking care of others before herself.

On July 19th, I was able to go home and be with my children, but home felt like it was missing a piece of our life that was always by our side.

It made me think of our wedding song which was Sade's "By Your side".

With the passing of "My Life", she leaves me behind 3 beautiful children which is now my main focus. Aged 18, 16 and 11 with autism. Raising a child with autism is a challenge with 2 parents, but I will embrace his love and continue his thoughts for his mom each day.

We have never done a Go Fund Me page to ask for help, as Renee was always the giving type. I am currently unemployed looking for work, but this new challenge has placed me in an entirely different atmosphere for employment and career

We the team of four Bartlett's are just asking for help with funeral costs, memorial, the costs of the past weeks medical charges( I can't
imagine), and a little something to a smile on their faces. I personally could not imagine the trauma my 3 beautiful children went through
this week possibly losing both parents.  Thank you Yvette for all of your exhausting help to me and my children this week.

When you leave for work, school or anyplace out of the door, make sure you express your love as they can be taken from you within a few minutes and you didn't get that chance to say goodbye.

Renee was and still is "My Life". The picture that says to "Don't forget I lubs you", is so I would wake up each morning knowing she loved
me  before the day started when I was diagnosed with short term memory loss back in 2018.  Today that post it note means the world to
me and will forever be "My Life".

Thank you for any and all help you could provide to the Bartlett 4 team.
