My kids and I lost everything in #dixiefire
Hello, my name is Alicia Williams. My two kids and I just lost our home in the Dixie fire. ! I have nothing and just need some help in these hard times. I was raised in
Indian valley for the most part! It was my safe haven my place for healing. I took my babies there to raise them. We were an active 4h, softball, T-ball family. I worked at the local gas station. And everywhere else I could. My love for the forest started in that valley. My kids are devastated they've never known city life not really. They have to start at a brand new school while there's a pandemic still happening and they are terrified. There staying strong for me. But I can see there terrified and heart broken. It was the last connection I had to the woman who raised me. I spent so much time running in and out of the legion hall and fire department. I hold onto my memories but the place that made them happen is gone. I feel embarrassed asking for help but my job my home my everything is gone. I am now going to be living in Lincoln CA and will be getting a job as soon as I possibly can. I don't need much I just need to get on my feet and support my babies. This fire has devastated over 500,000 acres and is continuing to go with no hopes of stopping it. Anything helps it never hurts to try and I can only go up from here. If you can't help just please send it forward.
