UPDATE: I am supper thankfully of all support from friends and family. My goal was to reach £600 towards a portion of the cost for me to attend the event.
Anything over this amount will be donated to the events main fundraiser.

We all remember where we were on 11 September 2001.
What many people don’t realise is that 343 firefighters lost their lives in the line of duty during the events of that day.
In September this year, I will be travelling to the Atlanta-Georgia as part of a group of 343 UK firefighters, representing my Brigade as part of the UK contingent for the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
Each of us will complete a 110-floor stair climb in full firefighting PPE, honouring the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.
- Why am I fundraising?
This GoFundMe is to help cover a portion of the costs to take part in this challenge:
✈️ Flights
️ ️ Accommodation
️️️ Event participation costs
Estimated total cost: £1,350
This is not a charity donation page.
All funds raised here will go solely towards supporting me in representing the UK fire service at this memorial event.
- Why this matters to me
This event is deeply personal.
When I was younger, a firefighter who had been deployed to the Twin Towers — and survived — later visited my school in South America, where I’m originally from. I don’t remember every word he said, but I will never forget his passion, courage, and commitment to helping others.
That moment stayed with me throughout my life and ultimately led me to become a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade. Taking part in this stair climb feels like a full-circle moment — a way to honour those who were lost, and the values that inspired me to serve.
- Supporting firefighter charities
While this page supports my personal participation, the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb event itself supports three incredible charities:
☑️ The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund (USA)
☑️ The Firefighters Charity (UK)
☑️ Blue Light Card Foundation (UK)
