My Journey to Compete in Junior Gold Detroit 2024

Your generous support will directly contribute to me attending Jr. Gold Bowling Tournament where I face off against the best competition across the United States. This will cover some expenses such as tournament fees, travel costs, accommodations, equipment, and other necessary expenses. These tournaments offer me an opportunity to WIN Scholarship funds for college. Any additional funding will be put towards future scholarship money for college.

My Story:

Being a military child meant that my life was full of changes, where we have relocated numerous times. Yet, with the challenge of new faces, schools, and homes, the one steadfast constant in my life has been BOWLING!!!!

No matter where we moved, from state to state, these Bowling Centers were where I could be me. Upon moving to the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virgina), the stakes changed. Here, the competition is fiercer, the bowlers more seasoned and skilled. It was a pivotal moment in my life that demanded a reassessment of my approach to the game. No longer was it sufficient to simply enjoy the game; this competitive passion led me to dive deeper into the sport and allowed me to participate in more tournaments than ever. It wasn't just about playing anymore; it was about competing, pushing myself, and striving for excellence.

Currently, I bowl in two weekly leagues at two different Bowling Centers. Fortunately, I have a coach who has donated his time to work on my game and I practice three times a week. I have competed in over 25 tournaments in 2023/24 a few of my achievements are:

• 54th Annual Youth Invitational: Placed 4th

• Storm US National Junior Team Challenge: Placed 2nd

• Mid Atlantic JBT HDCAP Bowler of the Year: (2023)

• Qualified f/Junior Gold Bowling Tournament: 2023: Placed 529th

• 2023 Virginia State Pepsi Opt Handicap Event: Placed 25th

• SMAJBT Masters: Placed 2nd

• SMAJBT Ft. Meade 11: Placed 2nd

• SMAJBT Greenwqay #10 Placed 3rd

• 59th Annual Youth City Tournament: Placed 3rd

• 53rd Annual Invitational Tournament: Placed 1st

The journey from a six-year-old struggling to lift a bowling ball to a competitive player facing off against some of the best in the US came with challenges. These challenges/achievements have not come easily, but they have fueled my passion and dedication to the sport of bowling. Participating in the Junior Gold Tournament will not only be a significant milestone in my bowling career but also an invaluable opportunity for growth and experience.
