My journey to a kidney transplant...

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Marvin Murray Jr., and I'm reaching out to you during a pivotal moment in my life. 5 Months ago I was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. I have been navigating a challenging journey ever since.

It all started on what was supposed to be an ordinary first day at my new job. Little did I know, my kidneys were on the verge of failure. Ignoring the warning signs, I powered through the discomfort, thinking it was just a passing issue. I even went in for a second day of work, but by the next shift, it became painfully clear that this would be my last time on the job.

Concerned, I rushed to the hospital, and the reality of my situation hit hard. My blood pressure had skyrocketed to 273/118, and I found myself hospitalized for five days. Since then, my battle with this relentless disease has prevented me from working, leaving me grappling with both physical and financial burdens. My medical expenses have surged, affecting my capacity to meet daily living expenses and my mortgage.

Despite these challenges, I draw inspiration from my father, Marvin Senior, a Camp Lejeune survivor, who triumphed over kidney and colon cancer, and my mother, Regina, who conquered a severe case of Diverticulosis; I am determined not to be defeated.

I'm in the process of getting on the list for a new kidney, holding onto hope for a brighter future. Alongside me in this journey is my partner, Crystal, and our eight amazing furbabies: Milo, Oliver, Leo, Jasper, Biggie, Koda, Bentley, and the backbone of our family, Faith.

I'm reaching out to you, my community, with a humble request for support. Your contribution will help ease the burden of medical bills and living expenses. Your kindness during this trying time means more to me than words can express.
