My Journey of Donating Hair to the Little Princess Trust
My name is Olivia Kelly, and I’m 18 years old. Donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust has always been something I’ve wanted to do, but finding the right time to grow it out and ensure it’s as healthy as possible has been a challenge. Now, after taking the time to care for it, my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been and the longest it’s ever been, making this the perfect moment to give back.
The thought of people, especially those my age and younger, facing hair loss due to cancer deeply upsets me. I’ve seen so many people lose loved ones to cancer, and the emotional toll it takes is unimaginable.
I love my hair, and while it’s something I cherish, the thought of someone like me losing themselves because of hair loss is truly heartbreaking. Knowing that I can help, even in a small way, by donating my hair and raising money for the Little Princess Trust feels like the right thing to do.
For me, it’s just hair something that grows back but for someone going through cancer treatment, it’s so much more. Hair loss can be a constant reminder of their illness, adding to the emotional and physical challenges they face.
We’ve all experienced some form of loss in our lives whether it’s the death of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, or even the feeling of losing our sense of self. These challenges can feel overwhelming, but small acts of kindness, like donating hair, have the power to ease someone’s burden and bring a little light during dark times.
I believe that by giving what I can, I’m helping to make a difficult journey just a bit more bearable.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who lose their hair due to cancer treatment. By donating, you’re not just helping to restore a child’s confidence and sense of self, but also supporting groundbreaking childhood cancer research. Your generosity will provide not only enough funds to make the wig, but also hope, for those facing some of the toughest challenges in life.
