Hi, my name is Rhys Owens and I have been given the opportunity to represent Wales as a member of the Welsh Deaf Rugby Union - the only dual world champions in Welsh Rugby.

The Welsh Deaf is a volunteer run team with no funding from the WRU. The team relies on donations and charity work to keep running

The goal would be to cover the cost of the trip to Japan along with giving me the best opportunities to bring home the title.

Going to Japan to represent my country would fulfil many dreams of mine and will be something I remember for the rest of my life.
