My Ironman 70.3 Challenge for Hummingbird House

Hi all, i'm training to compete in the Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast in September this year - that's a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride, and 21.1km run - with a goal to raise essential funds for Hummingbird House, Queensland's only children's hospice.

Hummingbird House provides specialised pediatric palliative care services and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. As many of you are aware, I have had previous experience as a paediatric pharmacist providing care to sick and palliative paediatric patients, which is why I chose this foundation.

For families facing the unimaginable, Hummingbird House creates a space of compassion, care, and support during the most challenging times.

• $50 can provide art therapy supplies for children

• $100 can fund a music therapy session

• $250 can help create precious family memories through special events

• $500 can contribute to specialised care equipment

During this challenge I will be pushing my physical and mental limits through months of dedicated training. I aim to post regular updates on my training progress, sharing the highs and lows.
