On Memorial Day 5/29/23 my family's lives was forever changed. I took my husband to the ER. He was complaining of being weak and shortness of breath. The doctor explained to us that his blood pressure was so extremely high that it was causing his kidneys to fail. They ordered him to start dialysis that day. All sorts of scans and tests were done and it turns out he will have to continue dialysis treatments moving forward and be placed on the kidney transplant list. A catheter was placed in his abdomen so he will be able to continue his treatments at home. He opted to receive the peritoneal dialysis treatments which has to be done every day. My husband is a loving, strong, hardworking man who is still fairly young 43.  We have three beautiful daughters together whom he adores. This life-changing event has put a tremendous strain on our family financially and emotionally. It’s been a constant daily struggle. We need help taking care of some of our financial obligations as I am the only one working at this time. Anyone that knows me personally knows that posting this is a lot for me because I hate asking for help, but right now it’s very much needed.
