My Husband's Father and No Life in Gaza

Donation protected
May Allah (God) the Almighty make all contributions resourceful and exceed the rewards to those donating and/or even sharing this page in our efforts to bring my husband's father Khamis (72 years old) from Gaza as an immediate family member who qualify under the USCIS State Department guidelines to be brought to the US.

My name is Ayaa and I have a deep calling in my heart to take care of my in-laws from Gaza by bringing them safely here to our home in NJ.

My mother-in-law (61 years old and who will not be named due to safety reasons) had her name on the Rafah crossing list to depart Gaza mid-March 2024, after a long period of processing and following up with US state officials and the Israeli and Egyptian embassy's since we've registered my in-laws back in the beginning of January 2024 for both to be put on the list.

However, the name of my father-in-law, until now, has not been put on the list. He needs much help, as of course all 2.2 million Gazans do including me and my husband's combined 250+ family members dwelling miserably there. May a permanent ceasefire come soon, God willing!

My In-laws (Alhamdillah and Thank God) have somewhere to go and are blessed to have family to take care of them once they can leave Gaza. Nonetheless, my father-in-law will not leave without his wife and his wife refuses to leave without him, even if her name is on this list and his is not.

From what we understand from heard/read testimonials, both mentioned embassy's are not lenient with putting men on the crossing list anytime soon, even if they are described as my father-in-law who has absolutely no political affiliations, is an elderly, and has some disabilities.
My father-in-law's mental and physical well-being is deteriorating and is becoming unsafe for himself and all around him. When we are on the phone he begins explaining of his bodily ache and joints giving up on him then he ends the call with diminishing hope and lost of will to carry on as they endure the catastrophic and dire living situation in Gaza.

Their story is no different than what you hear on the news in Gaza. My in-laws live under constant bombardment airstrikes, drone surveillances, tank shelling, and/or sniper shootings day to day. They've evacuated to Rafah in the makeshift tent shelters with scarce water and food available (especially with the extreme price inflation of food).
The frigid cold air have affected their joints miserably and the incompetency of our world leader today inflicted sadness in their hearts daily.
Returning back home to central Gaza after talks of the Rafah invasion occurring soon, they've found their home quite damaged with large and small holes from tank shells and bullets fired along with property/belongings destruction from an indoor fire that occurred while they were gone. Yet they agreed to live there in such a dismantled surrounding as they have no choice.

I, personally, have this innate need to care for them and to have them live with us including with their son, young grandson, and baby granddaughter in our 2 bedroom home. Even in tight quarters, it's better having them live here with us than in Gaza's apocalyptical environment.

The money to have my husband's father's name to be put on the Rafah crossing list in less than a 5 day time period is $7500, processed by Egyptian coordinators at the border. Along with a $1000 one-way travel plane tickets to the US for both my in-laws. Altogether with the remaining balance of $1500 to help my in-laws settle in with new clothes including each a heavy jacket, a new bed with an orthopedic mattress, and any processing fees.

InshAllah and God willing any extra donations (which I've increased to $14,000) will go to support our families and others in Gaza to buy food and water as, unfortunately, no one has a source of income to provide for their own immediate families with such essential needs.

This is a big ask and I appreciate the time you have viewing this page, but this financial jumpstart is needed and deeply appreciated as we hope to (God willing) embark our new day-to-day living to take care of our family. We know things are costly here in the US and they both need medical attention, but we have the intention to provide for them in anyway possible. In addition this jumpstart funding would indeed ease up on any future spending we will contribute in helping to maintain their overall health and well-being.

I hope and pray we can reach our goal of $10,000. I hope the family can leave Gaza soon and feel safe again. I hope your gift of giving will be a way to save them from such distraught and help with their overall quality of life. We would be exceedingly grateful for again any contributions and/or sharing of this gofundme page.

A thought I repeatedly ponder in my mind these days..... is that a GoFundMe page could be a save of a deadly situation for anyone living there, and if I we're living in Gaza right now I would sure be elated and alleviated if someone would make one for me and my family to finally escape a continuous man-made disastrous life.
