My husband suffered a stroke last week

My name is Holly, and my husband, who is 52, unexpectedly suffered a stroke last week. We have a six year old son and have been together for 17 years. He is fortunate, and will likely make a full recovery, but it will take some time. He is a maritime engineer, and I am a stay-at-home mom (partially due to disability). We lived in San Pedro, at the port of Los Angeles, for 12 years. We are currently living in Oklahoma, we moved here less than a year ago, and he travels back and forth from Los Angeles, though we will likely be relocating back to Los Angeles soon in part because of this. Like many Americans, we are mostly paycheck to paycheck. We try to save as much as we can, but things come up. We had originally moved out here to try to save money, but with the costs of airfare, we haven't been able to save much. We are hopeful that he will be returning to work within a month, but its going to be a struggle to keep up with bills and be able to eat and pay rent, etc. in the meantime. I am not looking for much. I have never done this before, but am really worried, and I know he is, too.

Please be aware of the signs of stroke, and don't think you're untouchable. In this past week, I've learned that several people I know have had strokes as well. It is better to call 911 and be wrong. Please remember this.
