Ricks Glioblastoma brain cancer WHO grade 4

Hello I’m Tasha I’m married to my husband Rick, together 9 years, married for 2 years. He’s the love of my life and we have a big blended family of five kids. We do have a 7 year old together. On June 25 th Rick had a seizure, his first one ever. Like all seizures, you can’t drive at least here for 6 months. So at the hospital they told us to see a neurologist, which is exactly what we did. He did a mri of ricks brain and found a big mass with fluid and swelling, if he never had a seizure he would probably not be here because we would have never knew what was going on in his brain. About a month later he scheduled a double mri one with contrast and one without, results of that one finally showed a small cyst or tumor. He Said we needed to get in to see a neurosurgeon asap. So we did we found one in st Pete. He looked at everything and said this was pretty serious he needed to have biopsy asap that was on Wednesday that Friday he had his biopsy and just with him being in his brain he said this was a Glioblastoma WHO grade 4 with this brain cancer it’s very aggressive, incurable and inoperable because right before surgery they said it was bigger and another spot started to grow besides the big mass. It has spread to the whole right frontal lobe. I’m just absolutely terrified!! At this point, he’s been out of work for 5 months, he’s the main breadwinner. I’m a cna and I can only afford my own bills plus electric and car. We have tried to get assistance but have had no luck and ssi disability is taking forever. We have tried everything. We are currently 6/7 months behind on mortgage with a forbearance, Behind on our cars, this has been an absolute nightmare for us and our kids. I have been in between work, taking care of Rick and our kids, been going to food pantries and events for free food. This has taken its toll on me especially but everyone around us as well. I never put my stuff out there but Iam now. He has brain cancer. We are going to Moffitt cancer center for aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Chemo 7 days a week for 6 weeks and radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks then a 4 week break then chemo for 6 months. All this is doing is prolonging his life so we have more time with him but this is incurable and aggressive. I’m trying to stay as positive as I can and strong, but I sure don’t feel it. I’m absolutely devastated as I lost my first husband of 15 years and now this. But, we need help even if it’s 5 bucks, please anything will help us. I have a son graduating in may next year also and my 7 year old in speech therapy at school. I’m struggling to keep us afloat. So please if you can help in any way we will be forever grateful. We have a very hard and long road ahead of us. We love you all and really need your support, even if it’s to get church food pantry support or to help with the kids anything at this point. The cost of this will be tremendous I’m sure. Insurance only covers so much. At this point we still don’t know all details with his insurance. This has just been a very rough year so far and very depressing. Please help in any way you can
