Hi, my name is Rheanna I’m creating this fundraiser for my husband, David Whos a devoted 34-year-old father to our four wonderful children. ❤️

My husband lives with muscular dystrophy, a progressive condition that has gradually taken away his strength and mobility. Watching someone you love struggle with everyday tasks is incredibly difficult, especially when he’s always been such an active, hands-on dad. Simple things like moving around the house, going out as a family, or playing with our children have become more challenging with time.

Despite everything, he remains determined to stay as independent as possible and continue being present in our children’s lives. That’s why we are hoping to raise funds for a Hypershell exoskeleton — a life-changing mobility device that could help support him in standing and walking with assistance. This would give him back some independence and allow him to take part in everyday family moments that mean so much to all of us — school runs, days out, and simply being able to move around more freely at home. ‍‍

This support wouldn’t just improve his mobility; it would make a huge difference to his confidence, mental wellbeing, and overall quality of life. As a family, it would mean the world to see him regain some of the independence that muscular dystrophy has taken away.

If we are lucky enough to raise more than the cost of the exoskeleton, any additional funds will go toward a smaller, more portable mobility scooter. This would help him get out more easily, attend our children’s events, and reduce how much he has to rely on others for day-to-day mobility.
