Hello, we are the Kiley Family and we need your help!

We are a family of three-
Jesse (Dad), D'Anne (Mom) and Grace, our 10 year old daughter.
We are a strong family unit, but 2020 has caught us in it's grip and we would like to share our story with you...

Our income was recently reduced by more than half, because the Social Security Administration decided that my husband is "No Longer Blind". That would be an amazing miracle, but it's really a bureaucratic nightmare. The threat of becoming homeless is one of the scariest things any family can experience and we won't give up on trying to keep this from happening.

 Jesse, was born with a genetic eye disorder, so his optic nerves are only 40% of  the normal size and he is also color blind. That means he has low vision, cannot drive and has to be driven to work and appointments. Luckily, his parents drive him to and from work and have done so for many years.

The Social Security administration has kept all of our payments since October and although we have spoken with a lawyer, the appeal process will take some time.

We filed for benefits from the County of San Diego, but were denied help because we "Make Too Much Money"...

The income limits  to qualify for county benefits have been lowered again, so we make more than the limit allows, but not enough to keep us afloat. We are still working on finding help through various charities, but haven't found the monetary help that we truly need.

Our income is less than the rent we pay and we are two months behind on utility bills. We have always been the type of family that will help anyone in need, so it's really difficult to write this out and ask for your help.

Any donations will be used to pay our rent for the next couple of months, utilities,  car insurance, car registration and the renewal fees for my driver's license. 

Please help us survive the next couple of months with any size donation.
