Hi, my name Barbie Mitchell. At the end of this past March my husband developed a sore throat and swollen glad. He went to the Dr. They tested for strep. It of course came back negative. They sent him home on antibiotics. They put in a note supposedly for a referral to ENT however they entered it a he needed a cochlear implant.

It got hung up on the systems. After many phone calls and my husband throat worsening we finally got a Dr appointment Aug 2nd to see an ENT Dr. She said,"I'm just going to say it. Your husband has CA and it malignant." She told us to go to UNM ER because they had an ENT oncologist.

We went to the ER Aug 8th due to vehicle we were delayed. The ER did 5 biopsies which came back, Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma.

We live on $1,700 a month. We are over an hour away from a Walmart. Right now my husband is having tremendous pain and difficulty swallowing. We are on are way to buy a blender so he can eat. Also he needs special foods and we are 2&1/2 hours from the Cancer center where we hope to get an appointment at. Meaning gas will be a real issue also. Any financially help at this time would be greatly appreciated.

Also just to finish painting the picture we have electricity. We haul our water to our water systems which supplies hot and cold water at the kitchen sink. We have an outhouse. We are American Poor but American Poor can't afford to be sick.
