My name is Rebecca, and I am asking help for my husband Didier Duffin, who suffered a stroke and a heart attack on December 2nd, 2021.
Didier moved to California, from France, with his mother when he was 7 months old. After many years of living in California and establishing his life here, Didier was deported. This was horrible, as he had to move to France, where he had no friends and didn’t even know the language, not to mention leaving behind all his loved ones. In order to be close, while we fix his US status, we decided to buy a small house in a camp down in Baja, so we could be together on the weekends.
Didier is now 60% paralyzed, just got released from the hospital and needs 24-hour care. I have to travel back to California, in order to work and be able to pay our bills and now hospital bills and 24-hour care. We don’t know if he will recover mobility or when this will be. I had about $4K hospital expenses, and I am estimating about $700-900 hundred dollars in a full home care per week.
Neither Didier nor I, are people who ask for help, either due to pride, embarrassment or something else. Today our lives have changed and we aren't prepared for that. We very humbly ask you for any assistance that you may give.
Thank you for your generosity and God Bless You All.
