My Hero, My Grandpa, My Heart!

When I was really little, he gave everything up for me, to take care of me, to make sure I had a happy, loving and safe childhood, since both of my parents had very demanding jobs that would usually take them on long trips abroad. To me "Pichiche" was my everything. He was always so loving, patient and gentle even when I was a brat. He taught me how to be a good and kind human and how to have empathy and genuinly care for others. It is for these and countless other reasons that my world came crashing down when my mom got a phone call about a month ago about my grandpa suffering a massive heart attack. He never had health insurance because of his pre existing high blood pressure and heart condition. Nevertheless, he was rushed to the hospital where his heart stopped for about five minutes and then was brought back to life. He has then pulled through so many, countless hurdles in the hospital and is still alive today. Since then the medical and hospital bills started piling up. I’m part of a very small family, My grandpa only has two children, my mom and my uncle. Looking at my mom’s super tired, sad and desperate face with like 50 pages of hospital bills piled up around her, is when I came up with the idea of giving her part of my college fund to save my grandpa. I can´t imagine my life without him, not yet at least. It turns out that this could only cover a tiny part of the hospital and medical bills. So I’ve decided to ask the world for a bit of help , knowing in my heart that there must be a lot of good out there. This is what grandpa always taught me. I want to make a difference and show my family that I can also help in this crisis. Thank you in advance and God bless.
