Hello everyone, I am Michelle and I was originally asked to make this GoFundMe by my dad because of his stroke that he suffered three weeks ago. When I came back home after a week of being in the hospital with him, I was getting prepared for it this long haul and I gotta knock on the door and it was a police officer serving me a eviction papers. I have lived in this home since 2011. It is the only home I feel safe in and at peace.
I fell on hard times after losing my husband to Covid in 2021. I’ve been trying so hard to manage things on my own, but I just don’t make enough money. I’m a school custodian and I’ve been trying my hand at digital marketing as of recently to help try to make a second income, but that was just recently.
in the beginning when my husband first passed away, my daughter and her fiancé were living here and we’re supposed to be helping. I didn’t find out until just last year that she was not giving him money. I’m not sure why he didn’t tell me I really wish he would have so I could have taken care of this issue sooner. So as you see, it is not my fault I have been trying my best and I also have an auto immune disease which I’m on shots for and I take so many medication’s just trying to manage my health so I can continue to work without becoming disabled myself . The autoimmune disease that I have is a disability, but I refuse to be disabled. I’m trying the best I can .
With all of this going on I’m really begging for people to please hear my cries and please help me stay in my home at least a little longer. I really have nowhere else to go . I need to stay where I’m at in Texas because of my job and my health insurance and all my doctors and my medications because without that I swell up in huge lumps and I will be disabled and it’s so so very painful. my body hurts extremely horribly bad without the medication’s. I have no money to move and quite honestly I would really wish that God would grant me a miracle and that I would not have to move because it is going to wreck me emotionally all over again since losing my husband . I have suffered so much loss and this is just another huge loss for me. I know so many people are struggling right now, but all I’m asking is if you could spare a little extra change even a five dollar donation would help and I would be extremely grateful because every little penny adds up..
my dad is in a rehab as of right now but is scheduled to be coming to my home in one more day and they are and they are going to be delivering a Hospital bed to my home but for how long am I going to be able to be here?
I have to go to court on October 6 for this eviction, which is next week. I’m truly very scared and I have only been sleeping 3 to 4 hours a night. Can you please find it in your heart to help us and help me.
I'm being evicted out of the only place I can call home since losing my husband to COVID in 2021.
My husband's friend helped us buy the home in 2018, but we were here since 2011. Now he wants me out because I can't afford the amount that he wants. He made me sign it over to him under duress, and now on the paperwork, he's lying and saying that I was an "invitee" of the home of the person that died, which was my husband Wayne. This is a lie. I was an owner just as much as him.
Maybe I don't know how to write this well, but I'm trying my best. My husband didn't have life insurance, so I didn't get anything to help pay for this home when he died. Now he is going to sell it for way more than what we borrowed. We borrowed $120,000; now it is valued at over $230,000. He promised me he would help me and give me something, and now he's actually trying to sue me for a ton of money plus the house. I don’t even have anything to be sued for. This will destroy my life the rest of the way because after an eviction, you can’t even get a place to live if you try and this is what’s happening to me . I can't take this. Please, can anyone help save my life?
On September 6, my dad had a stroke. He couldn’t get up off the blanket he was laying on all of a sudden, and it was extremely scary because I didn’t even see any signs of him having a stroke, and neither did he. The stroke left him completely unable to use his left side of his body. He was hospitalized at UTMB in Galveston, where I took off work and stayed with him for an entire week. Now, I had to go back to work, but I still go to him every day. He was transferred to Sugarland, which is much closer to me, so thank goodness for that, but it’s still a 10-minute drive down the freeway.
The reason I say this is because it’s costing a lot of gas money and took away a little money from myself, but mostly it’s going to take away my dad’s income, the little extra that he makes on the side to afford to live. He loves to work on appliances and resell them. That’s like a little side hustle that he has. Also, he cuts several neighbors' grass to make some extra income besides his disability income because it’s so hard to make it on that small of a check. So here I am just asking if anyone would like to donate just a small amount because he needs a lot of things and truly he can’t afford it. If you know my situation, which is very dire, and which I described above, then you know that I honestly can’t afford it either.
He would use his money from cutting grass and selling appliances to do extra things like go to the beach and stuff like that, or help me out a bit, and now he’s not able to do that. He’s very stressed about this situation and my living situation and wondering how he’s gonna make any extra money. I don’t want him to worry. I don’t want him to have another stroke. So here I am asking if anybody wants to help us out just a little. He’s really all I got in this world that is with me, that supports me emotionally and in every way, being there for me. He spends a lot of money traveling back and forth from Kentucky as well, and the reason he’s able to do that is because of the money he was making extra on the side, which he is no longer able to do. So I’m asking if anyone can find it in their heart to donate just a small amount of money. Also, if you don’t want to use this platform, you could reach out to us and let us know, and there’s always a way.
I really don’t like making this GoFundMe, but I’m going to because I believe in the power of people helping people. I don't know what else to do truly.
He’s needed a lot of different things so far, and it’s just costing money that we really truly don’t have. I know a lot of people are out suffering and struggling because money is tight, but if you have a few extra dollars you could afford to spare, we would truly appreciate it. I know I would appreciate it for his sake. He means the world to me, and I wanna keep him around for as long as I can. I really truly don’t want him to feel any kind of stress right now if I can help it. I appreciate anyone and everyone who chooses to donate or even share this GoFundMe. It really means the world to me. Thank you and God bless you, and I will keep everyone informed of how he is doing.
