Who am I ?

I am Dorota and I am very optimistic and outgoing, but also severely unlucky person, who after battling breast cancer and my health finally getting back on track collapsed in seizure whilst on long-awaited trip to New York City.

I suffered a cardiac arrest and a simple neck goitre turned out to be an aggressive form of thyroid cancer that spread to her airways.

My travel insurance AXA Poland had voided my insurance and declined payment for any treatment and air ambulance to Great Britain, leaving my on our own. This came as a shock since they had initially agreed to transport me and started communication with the NYC hospital to organise it, they even booked me a bed in Liverpool Aintree Hospital already.

Everything is set except now I can’t afford to come back because the air ambulance costs £105.000. I had been prepped and ready only for AXA to fail me, they’ve never even informed me nor any of the hospitals that they’ve stopped organising the repatriation.

After numerous phone calls and emails they’d finally informed me they’re voiding the whole insurance and won’t help with any costs. I’ve involved the embassy and NHS but they can only do so much and I need to get back to continue her treatment while we still can. I hope the hospital can let me stay a little longer but time is not on my side.

I hate to ask for help but it’s our only chance.
