My name is Sanford, and I am a 68-year-old living with congenital heart disease. In 2017, my life changed dramatically when I suffered a stroke, which led to the development of congestive heart failure. Since then, every day has been a challenge as I work to manage my health and maintain my independence. Despite my best efforts, my condition has made it increasingly difficult to keep up with the demands of daily life.

I rely on SSDI for income, but it simply isn't enough to cover all of my essential needs. Medical bills, medications, transportation to appointments, food, and utility costs continue to add up, and I often find myself struggling to make ends meet. I am currently being assessed by Senior and Disability Services for in-home medical assistance because my mobility issues have made it hard to care for myself the way I used to.

I am extremely grateful for the support and resources available in my community, but there are still gaps that I cannot fill on my own.
