My Grandpas Once-in-a- Lifetime Trip

My grandpas biggest dream has always been to travel to Alaska and compete in the World Ice Art Championship in Fairbanks, Alaska. The contest is the largest of its kind in the world and attended by more than 100 sculptors from 30 different countries. It's the perfect place to carve ice sculptures because it is real cold and the ice doesn't melt. He has been carving ice for over 20 years perfecting his craft. He has competed locally and has won many medals and awards. Because of the talent he has for carving ice he was chosen from many to compete against world champions in Fairbanks. He carves ice as a hobby so he makes very little money at it. He loves to carve ice but it takes him away from making the money needed to pay his bills.

The reason I am trying to raise money for him is because he has had financial and health difficulties over the years. But, with all he's been through he always puts others before himself. He is the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back if it would help your situation. It's his time to shine and be rewarded for all he has done for others.
