My Grandparents –Living in a Caravan with a terminal Tumor
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I never thought I’d have to write something like this, but my grandparents need help, and I’m reaching out to anyone who might be able to make a difference.
My grandfather, who is 72 years old, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. It has turned their world upside down. He can’t work anymore, and with only a small South African state pension to rely on, they have lost everything. They now live in a caravan, struggling to afford even the basics.
Why We Need Your Help
My grandmother is doing everything she can to care for him, but they’re destitute. The medical costs are overwhelming, and they can barely afford food, electricity, or transport to the doctor.
Right now, my grandfather needs a drips 4 times a week for pain management, costing R450 per session. That’s on top of everyday expenses that they simply can’t keep up with anymore.
How Much We Need & How It Will Help
We’re trying to raise R50,000 (£2200 GBP) to help them get through this incredibly tough time. This will go towards:
- Medical costs for pain management – R450 per session, 4 times a week = R7,200 per month
- Basic living expenses (food, electricity, caravan costs) = R6,400 per month
- Transport for hospital and doctor visits = R1,000 per month
Every Bit Helps
Anything you can give will make a real difference in their lives. It will help my grandfather get the care he needs and give my grandmother the support to keep them safe and fed.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
