My grandmas SUV was stolen on mother’s day

Donation protected
Please help us to get a new vehicle! My grandma had her locked Kia sportage stolen in broad daylight from our driveway on mother’s day. She was told by the kia dealer that this vehicle was safe from theft using a USB cord, and that’s exactly how it was stolen. Our SUV was found in a wooded area sitting on top of a big boulder, special equipment was brought in to get it off the boulder and onto a flat bed to be towed to the Police Station. Once it made it to the collision shop it was declared a total loss.
Thankfully it was insured but unfortunately insurance did not cover the entire loan pay off. To make matters worse my grandma can not secure another loan due to health issues which caused loss of income. She had been struggling to make the car payments and catch up then it was taken and destroyed by kids for no other reason than for them to have a good time. The kids most likely won’t receive consequences and the parents can’t be held liable.
My grandmother had been raising my brother and I by herself for 10 years. She is the most selfless person I know. Despite her health issues she continues to work as much as she can and always puts my brother and me first. We have felt safe, loved and well cared for since the court called her one day asking if she would take custody of us so we wouldn’t go into the foster care system. She drives us to school everyday and picks us up since i was bullied on the bus in the middle school.
I am currently a senior in high school and about to graduate in June, and go to college in the fall on a Full Scholarship. I would not be in this position without her love and support. My brother is almost 14, a critical time in his life, Without a vehicle he will have to take the bus to school with the kids who stole our SUV.
Life is already difficult for my grandma but she tries everyday. Without a vehicle it will be unmanageable just to do basic tasks like work, grocery shop, go to dr appointments ect.
I realize we are living in tough times but we would really appreciate anything you can give to help. If you can’t donate, sharing my story will help get it out there to people who may be able to help!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
