Hello everyone,

My name is Glensie Hombrebueno and I am reaching out today with a heart that is both heavy and hopeful. My grandfather, Dr. Eduardo M. Hombrebueno, is fighting for his life in the ICU in Bacolod City, Philippines, since the 21st of February. He has been intubated, battling pneumonia and a severe kidney infection. Despite everything, he is responding well to treatment. But the reality is, the ICU costs us around €1,000 a day excluding his medicines and other needs, and as much as we want to keep giving him the best care, it is getting harder and harder to sustain.

My grandfather is more than just family—he is my second father. He raised me since I was two years old, gave me a home, and shaped me into the person I am today. I lived under his roof until I finished university and started working abroad, and not once did he make me feel like anything less than his own child. He is a good man with a kind heart, someone who has dedicated his life to helping others. Now, he is the one in need of help, and we are doing everything we can to give him a fighting chance.

It is incredibly difficult to ask for help, but right now, we have no choice. If you can donate any amount, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us.
