My granddaughter, Halia Argila-Delatorre died on 2/11/2023 at the age of 22; she succumbed to cancer. The daughter of Deaf parents, Halia embodied the CODA spirit. Halia was a student at California State University Northridge majoring in Deaf Studies. She planned to work as a court interpreter for the Deaf. At the time of her death Halia was surrounded by all of the family and friends who so dearly loved her.
