My girlfriend is disabled and getting kicked out.

Hello everyone, I want to say thank you to whoever reads through all of this before I begin.

I am the romantic partner of the person I am trying to raise a fundraiser for, the picture I have provided for the cover is what she looks like. Her name is Mav and she is 20 years old with a chronic illness called Myasthenia Gravis, otherwise known as MG. This illness has impacted every aspect of her life since before she was even diagnosed and her current living situation is not helping at all.

If you don’t know what Myasthenia Gravis is, I will put a description below.
“Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness and fatigue by interfering with the communication between nerves and muscles.” It is an invisible disability and one that is not taken seriously by doctors, or anyone else who does not understand the life of being disabled.

Mav has the most serious case I have ever seen and overworking her body can cause intense flares, which can lead to more severe MG symptoms and potentially hospitalization. This is why getting a job is so difficult and why I have chosen the route of setting up this fundraiser.

Photo Description: Mav in the hospital hugging her little brother. His face has been blurred due to being a minor.

She currently has 6 months left to live in her house before her mom plans on kicking her out. She lives in Georgia and I live in Texas, I am hoping to get her out of there with all of her important belongings as soon as I can with the help of this fundraiser and the people who are willing to donate.

The unfortunate issues here is that Mav has too many physical and mental ailments to get a job, as well as me, which is also why I can’t do much financially. I rely on family for the time being and I would not expect them to help with all of the funding to make this possible.

Please note that working is not possible for her at all in the current moment and that we are trying everything we possibly can, aside from this. Myasthenia Gravis is different for every person that has it and just happens to be very severe for her. She has almost died because of this illness and I only wish for her to be safe.

To the people who read this and the people who donate, I thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. This means so much to not only me, but Mav as well. Anything helps.

Breakdown of what the funds will be used for:

  • Getting a plane ticket from Georgia to Texas.
  • Moving services for all of her important belongings.
  • Funding for potential hospital bills or medications she will need.
  • Food, hygiene products, and more self care items.
  • Getting a state ID.
  • Transferring all of her medical information.
  • Getting insurance.
  • Saving the rest of the money for other emergencies.
