Well, this story is being told from the perspective of the caregiver.
We found out that my girl had cancer about two years ago and it all started with just a little pain in her stomach. We thought things would be all good but as you know...things can go sideways in the blink of an eye.
She's a young lady, 35 years old in 2017, and has teenager daugher and then there's me.
Fun loving, always down to have some fun and adventure ( to be honest, she's was a little bit of punk when it came to the adventure part, but she alway's manned up in the end).
Anyway, after many doctor's visits, chemotherapy and two surgeries, she's left holding a bag of sh*t...excuse my language, but that's how real it is. It sucks!!! It's a point that even the doctors don't want to do anymore surgeries. SMH...Who deserves this mess???!!!
Yeah we've racked up expenses all related to this but to be honest...we don't even care about the medical expenses.
All I want to do is take her around the world. It sucks to think that your last days could be spent in a little apartment in NYC, not alone... but still.
We really don't know where this is all headed but all I know is that cancer's a b*tch!!!
There's no specific date in sight, I just want to afford to take my girl around the world before its too late...may sound morbid, but that's just what it is.
You know...money isn't the solution to our issues but it sure would make things a little easier to accept.
What would be great is if other women dealing with any type of cancer could reach out somehow and offer encouragement that would be great.
My girls name is Lisa and she has ovarian cancer.
