I am organizing this fund raiser for my friend, Brit Johnson after seeing the carnage from the F3 Tornado that hit Pasadena, Texas January 24th, 2023. The majority of her inventory that she invested in over the last several years as well as nearly all of her personal and household belongings sustained substantial damage from the 145mph winds and rain. We are still dealing with the messy cleanup trying to salvage what we can. Brit lived off the daily sales of this inventory and with the majority of items destroyed her income has come to a stop and she doesn't have the means to replenish her inventory to start earning money again. Now yesterday the buy here pay here dealership just repo'd her truck for being 4 weeks behind and will not let her get it back unless she pays the balance of $3400 which will pay off the car in full. Brit is already dealing with the physical, financial and psychological effects from her rare lung disease diagnosis and now to lose everything she has worked for is too much to bear alone. I hope that with small donations from those who are able, Brit will be able to get her vehicle back, pay for the uhaul truck rental and new storage space, replace her personal and household items and begin purchasing inventory to get her business going again so she won't have to worry about how she will pay for her living and medical expenses. I'm not sure of her total loss amount but I've been working with her for several months and she probably had a couple years worth of income in inventory in there so I just thought this would be a good start. Brit is a friend that would always find a way to help someone in need, she needs us now, thank you for your kindness.
