My friend Joe Brown's leg amputation recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Joe Rodriguez, and I am writing today to ask you for your help for my dear friend Joe Brown. Joe Brown is currently 80 years old but has been my long time friend for twenty five plus years. We share a love for boxing and our country, as we both served in the United States Military. Joe Brown is a US Navy Veteran, a good husband to his amazing wife Ruth and a loving grandfather. He has always been very generous with his time giving back to his community and helping any friends in need.
About a year ago he unfortunately had to have part of his right foot amputated. The recovery from that was very difficult due to being at an older age, and learning to basically walk all over again. This past February 2023 they informed him they would now need to amputate almost up to his knee. In March they proceeded with the first of many painful surgeries to come. Then he began his three month long extensive hospital recovery. Ruth his wife had to take a leave of absence for an unkown amount of time from her full time nursing job to assist Joe and his recovery. She is still home assisting him with his physical recovery and relearning how to do day to day tasks.
The growing medical bills, ongoing treatment costs, and sudden loss of income have created a severe financial burden for the Brown's. I humbly ask for your support, no donation is too small. Each contribution takes us one step closer to our goal and, more importantly, offers Joe and Ruth a glimmer of hope amidst this long road to a succesful recovery. If you're unable to contribute financially, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could share Joe's story and keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you,
Joe Rodriguez
