My friend, Dwaine, is from Marsh Harbor, Abaco, Bahamas. I have known him for over 15 years. On September 1, Hurricane Dorian destroyed his Island and home. He is an incredible survivor. He finally arrived here safe in Atlanta on September 10. His entire life is in a large Tupperware container. Dwaine is staying with my family until he can get back on his own. He has NOTHING to go back to in the near future. 

Dwaine was an employee at The Marsh Harbor Airport for 22 years. Many of you who have visited the beautiful islands of the Abacos might have seen his smiling face as he helped you get your bags and find you a taxi. 

His desire is to get to Fort Lauderdale, where he can work with Silver Airways. He will need funds for housing, food, clothing, transportation, phone and other mundane incidentals. He hopes that in the near future, he will be able to return to Marsh Harbor with other men to help rebuild the island that his family has lived on for over 3 generations.
