My friend Atreyu that desperately needs some financial help

First: The Goal of the fundraiser is to help pay some monthly expenses like medicine, groceries, housing as well as a medical procedure that is not payed by insurance.

My roommate Atreyu is living since august with me and while getting to know him he told me about his life. I don’t want to go to far into detail but basically his parents are his greatest haters and barely supporting him by paying mandatory bills like health insurance or his tuition (they’re legally obliged to pay him his first education, he’s 20 btw). Anyway, besides studying full time, he is also working a job every weekend that unfortunately pays him a very low wage, so he barely gets by every month. On top of that he is trying to set some money aside (which is basically not possible in his situation) to get a masculasation procedure (he’s trans btw).

He always says that he’s fine, and I trust him to know what’s best for him. But he has fought some serious mental health battles and very difficult family disputes in the past and he’s a very big people pleaser. So I’m naturally worried that he’ll just work his ass away till he has a breakdown/burnout or worse. Basically I’m asking for some financial help on his behalf, to help him manage his life a bit better, so that he doesn’t have to depend 100% his low paying job.
