My friend Andrea has Guillain-Barré syndrome

Andrea has been my best friend for 45 years. She has lived a life of adversity. She married Stephen and they had 2 children, Stefan and Colton. The four of them then took in his children from his previous marriage. Then he left…for years. She raised her children and his children and is currently raising Stefan’s son. She is 70. She did all this with a smile on her face, and worked her fingers to the bone to keep food on the table and a house over their heads.

Now this. GUILLAIN-BARRÉ SYNDROME. What an insidious devastating disease. After two weeks in the hospital she was moved to a care facility. At this point she cannot feel her legs (other than pain), she can’t feel the muscles that control bodily functions. This is a nightmare. Recovery could take 6-12 months MAYBE. This disease is devastating physically, mentally, and financially.

She cannot work and only has her social security. Her Medicare will shortly be unable to pay for her care at the facility. She will be charged daily and has no savings, she desperately needs financial assistance.

Please, please, help my friend. She is the nicest person in the world (why is it always the good people) Now she desperately needs help. These funds will be used to pay for her care.
