Hi my names is Andrew sinclair, I am a newly registered fisherman who just developed a fishing compound in westmoreland Jamaica. This compound had 3 deep freezers a 35 foot boat 2 engines to run the boat and also a bathroom and one single room. I was planning to catch deep sea lobster, fish, and crab then resell back to hotels and local people, but this was heavily affected by hurricane Mellisa on October 28th 2025. This hurricane completely destroyed our family’s fishing business, it collapsed the roof and all the infrastructure holding the building up. The fishing equipment I had just invested in are all destroyed, pots for deep sea lobster and also large fish are all destroyed at sea. My family and I are extremely heart broken at this time, we just migrated back home and wanted a fresh start to life. Unfortunately this hurricane had different plans for us, anything raised shall be put forward to restore our dream costal fishing compound. Thanks in advance from my family to yours god bless !
